Key N°2: Trick with Smartphone!
We saw in the KEY N°1 that TV took us time (3h42 on average). Unfortunately, this is not the only time-consuming device… The one you have in your pocket is too.
On this point, did you know that a European spent on average 52 to 66 hours per month in front of the screen of his Smartphone?
Smartphones, infobesity generators!
This name makes me laugh, but in truth, it’s not funny ^^. Infobesity – you will understand – it is the coupling of the words “information” & “obesity”. It’s simply being “obese in information”.
Ok, we spend time on our phone, but what motivates us so much to go and consult it non-stop?
1- Our addicted side,
Today, one of my keys is to use this “notifications” lever.
We agree, we just need a few applications like News, Mails, WhatsApp, Facebook & Instagram (and much more for some of us) to be flooded with notifications. Beyond the fact of being constantly disturbed and deconcentrated, we immediately want to consult them…
...and that's really time-consuming!
I award the “will of gold” trophy to the one who tells me that – by opening a notification – he ONLY reads the chosen notification! I’m sure that all of us open 3 or 4 notifications without taking accoung that we spend more time with those of Facebook / Instagram (by reading the news feed).
Trick with Smartphone!
What I also call “The technique of notifications” is a very simple technique that I use for a while: it is simply set the notifications on my phone to not be constantly disturbed!
Another tip: use sometime the airplane mode when it’s necessary!
My personal feeling.
Since I use this technique on my phone, I switched off. The fact that it no longer rings, no longer lights to swing non-stop notifications allows me to slow down and consult the info when I decide.
You will see, you will gain time for you without stress 🙂
